Baldersons Bakery, Cafe & Tea Garden

There is an indoor room and a large tea garden at the back, part of it covered and heated, so it stays usable outside the summer. Eaten here
I have eaten at Baldersons twice. The first was breakfast with my cousin, who has mobility issues, and her husband. We sat out in the tea garden at the back and it was a good breakfast, brought to the table by staff who were friendly without making a performance of it.
The second was lunch. My wife and I are vegetarian, and there was a real choice rather than the one obligatory dish, cooked properly and put on the plate with some care, which is less common than it ought to be.
The tea garden is the thing worth knowing about. It is large, well laid out, and partly covered with heaters, so unlike most of what the village offers it works in the cold months as well as in August.
