Thornton-le-Dale Show 2027

The Thornton-le-Dale Show 2027 takes place on Wednesday 4 August 2027 at The Showfield, Maltongate, Thornton-le-Dale YO18 7SA. Known locally as the Thornton Show, it is a one-day agricultural show with livestock, heavy horses, sheepdog trials, a pet dog show, vintage tractors, a produce, crafts and horticulture marquee and evening sports. Locally it is often called the Thornton Dale Show or simply the Thornton Show.

Adult admission is £14, children aged 5 to 16 pay £6, under 5s go free and a family ticket for two adults and two children costs £35. Entry after 4pm is £3.50. Parking at the show is free.

Thornton le Dale agricultural show: what to expect

The show is organised by the Thornton-le-Dale Show and Sports Society, a not-for-profit group that relies on volunteers from across the local area. Its stated purpose is to promote agriculture, horticulture, crafts and local traditions, and surplus funds are given back to the community.

The Yorkshire Post reported in 2026 that the show draws around 10,000 to 12,000 visitors. Held on a Wednesday in early August, it is one of the agricultural shows North Yorkshire hosts each August.
