The Thornton-le-Dale Show on Wednesday 4 August 2027 is one of a run of country shows across North Yorkshire each summer. If you are staying in the village for a week or more, you can often fit in another. This page lists the nearest and best known, with 2027 dates only where the organisers have confirmed them.

Shows with 2027 dates confirmed

Malton Show: Saturday 26 June 2027, at Scampston Park, near Malton. It returns after the 2026 show was cancelled.

Great Yorkshire Show: Tuesday 13 to Friday 16 July 2027, at the Great Yorkshire Showground, Harrogate. The organisers say it will be the 168th show, open from 8am to 6pm each day. It is the county's largest agricultural show and runs over four days.

Ryedale Show: Tuesday 27 July 2027, at Duncombe Park, Helmsley. The show says it is held on the last Tuesday in July, and its entries system lists the 2027 show for 27 July. Parking is included with admission, according to the show's visitor information.

Malton Show

The Malton Show is held at Scampston Park and is normally on the last weekend of June. The committee cancelled the 2026 show, citing volunteer retirements, compliance requirements and rising costs.

In June 2026 BATA, the farmers' cooperative based at Amotherby, agreed to sponsor the show for three years to help secure its future. The show is due to return on Saturday 26 June 2027 at Scampston Park.
