Series 12 opened with episode 1, first shown on U&Yesterday on 31 July 2025. Derek travels to Colchester to see a 1960 Aston Martin DB4 that has spent some 40 years under a tarpaulin, while the garage around it gradually fell down. It is a striking start to the series, built around one long neglected sports car. The episode listing also names a tractor.

Mathewsons' published results include a 1960 Aston Martin DB4 sold for £145,000 (Mathewsons lot 500) on 17 October 2024. It is the only 1960 DB4 we have found in the firm's results in the year before the episode aired, so we take it to be the car shown.
