Series 12, episode 5 went out for the first time on U&Yesterday on 28 August 2025. The highlight for Dave is a very rare hot hatch from the 1980s, a Citroen Visa GT Tonic, and he is clearly thrilled to see it. Fans of hot hatches from that decade will find plenty to enjoy here. The episode listing also names a VW Jurgen.

The cars
What they made
Mathewsons' published results include a 1986 Citroen Visa GT Tonic sold for £8,250 (Mathewsons lot 698) on 7 February 2025. It is the only Visa GT Tonic we have found sold in the firm's results, so we take it to be the car shown. A Visa GT Tonic was also catalogued in November 2024.
Visit
The cars on Bangers & Cash are sold at Mathewsons' Pickering saleroom, and the Mathewsons museum and shop are in Thornton-le-Dale.
Episode details from the broadcaster's listings on TVmaze, TheTVDB and Sky and from Mathewsons' episode guides, checked in October 2026. Sale results appear only where Mathewsons or the programme's makers published a figure.
