Bangers & Cash
Restoring Classics series 9, episode 2: a Cortina estate and an Austin Morris Maxi

Cortina/Maxi opened the ninth series on U&Yesterday on 15 October 2026, according to TV listings, although the broadcaster numbers it as episode 2. The team buys a 1965 Ford Cortina estate said to have belonged to a South African chief of police. The second car is a 1980s Austin Morris Maxi, described as one of Dave's guilty pleasures. Both are followed from Mathewsons through restoration and back to sale.
First shown on U&Yesterday
U, the broadcaster's streaming service, numbers Trabant/Renault 5 as episode 1 and Cortina/Maxi as episode 2, and we follow its numbering. Independent listings differ: TVmaze numbers them the other way round, in the order TV listings show they were first broadcast (Cortina/Maxi on 15 October, Trabant/Renault 5 on 22 October), while TheTVDB uses the broadcaster's numbering but gives the two dates the other way round.
