Episode 2 aired on U&Yesterday on Thursday 30 July 2026. The broadcaster's listing has Derek collecting an Opel Manta, Charlie and his mum picking up a Morris Oxford, and Paul enthralled by what it calls a motoring relic, the 1902 Oldsmobile. A Volvo 240 Torslanda estate completes the episode's title.

The cars
- Opel Manta GT
- the Manta B was shown in autumn 1975 and stayed in production until 1988, longer than any other Opel; 557,940 were built. The GT sat below the fuel-injected GT/E, which became the GSi in 1984. The name and the ray badge came from the manta ray.
- 1902 Oldsmobile
- a Curved Dash runabout, the single-cylinder car that Ransom E. Olds's company built from 1901 to 1907, and the first car made in real numbers. It had a 4 horsepower engine and two forward speeds, and sold for 650 dollars. Sources disagree on how many were made, from about 11,000 to more than 19,000.
- Morris Oxford
- the Oxford MO of 1948 to 1954 was Alec Issigonis's bigger brother to the Minor, with a 1.5 litre side-valve engine; close to 160,000 were made. The Series II that followed in 1954 used the BMC B-series engine and was built in India as the Hindustan Landmaster.
- Volvo 240 Torslanda estate
- the 240 ran from 1974 to 1993, and the last one left the Torslanda plant in Gothenburg on 5 May 1993 after 2,685,171 had been built. Torslanda is the name of the Gothenburg factory; owners' forums say Volvo UK also used it for a run-out edition of the estate.
What they made
Mathewsons' published results include a 1902 Oldsmobile sold for £34,000 on 31 July 2025, the only car of that year and make the firm has listed, so we take it to be the one in this episode. For the Manta, the Oxford and the Volvo, more than one car of each kind went through the saleroom in the months the series was filmed, so we give no figure until we can tie one to the episode.
