Episode 4 aired on U&Yesterday on Thursday 13 August 2026. The broadcaster's listing has Derek on a triple pickup in the Home Counties: a 1968 Mini Moke, an Amphicar 770 and a Polish-built Fiat 126. A pre-series preview, which billed these stories as the opening episode, said the Moke had been in one family since new, that one of the team saw a mouldy Vauxhall VX4/90 as a possible bargain, and that a Yamaha RD500 had Dave reminiscing.

The cars
- Amphicar 770
- the amphibious car built in West Germany in the first half of the 1960s and sold until 1968; 3,878 were made. The name is usually explained as 7 knots on water and 70 mph on the road.
- Mini Moke
- BMC's open utility Mini, built at Longbridge from 1964 to 1968 and later in Australia and Portugal. It is remembered from the 1960s series The Prisoner.
- Fiat 126
- Fiat's small rear-engined car of 1972, built in Poland in vast numbers until 2000, where it was nicknamed Maluch, the little one. The broadcaster's own listing calls it a Fiat 216, a slip for 126.
- Vauxhall VX4/90
- the sporting version of the Vauxhall Victor, sold, with breaks, from 1961 to the late 1970s. The listing spells it VX490.
- Yamaha RD500
- Yamaha's two-stroke V4 road bike of 1984, developed from its Grand Prix racers.
What they made
